G20 Investment Summit
As part of the G20 initiative "Compact with Africa" (CwA), Federal Chancellor Dr. Angela Merkel invited the eleven heads of state of the African Compact partner countries and the leader of other institutions such as World Bank (WB), African Union (AU), African Development Bank (AfDB), International Monetary Fund (IMF) and others on 30 October 2018 to Berlin in the AXICA at the Brandenburg Gate.
Organized by the Africa Association of German Business (AV) and the Sub-Saharan Africa Initiative (SAFRI), the conference was attended by high-ranking representatives of German companies and their partners from the African CwA partner countries. The focus was on flagship projects of German companies and economic reform projects in these countries.
For the AXICA team led by project manager Anna Lisa Kammeier, this meeting at the highest level once again presented a special challenge in terms of guest safety. But meanwhile processes and instructions are well experienced with the Federal Criminal Police Office, State Criminal Police Office and the in-house property protection and run almost smoothly. The approximately 400 Summit participants enjoyed the in-house down-to-earth Berlin cuisine and warm hospitality of the AXICA team.
